Lacoop

The Cooperative of Family Farmers of the Amazon (Lacoop) brings together families that produce canefora coffee in Rondônia, a state that concentrates the largest coffee production in the Brazilian Amazon. Since its founding in 2017 and registration on March 27th, 2018, Lacoop has been developing the quality and productivity of Amazon hardy grains grown on small family farms in the region for over 40 years.
The cooperative is a partner in research for the development of sustainable technologies for specialty coffee production, with a focus on studies of hybrid genetic materials that are pest and disease resistant, productive, and have unique and desirable sensory characteristics.
