1878 Cafés Especiais
In 1878, João Manoel Franco planted his first coffee trees on the Pinhal do Campestre farm, one of the pioneers in establishing the crop, which had just arrived in southern Minas Gerais, today the world's largest producing region.
Favored by the climate, altitude, and volcanic soils, crops developed well and became the farm's main activity.
Today, our SÃtio Belém, a remnant of this farm, is the fifth generation producing some of the best coffee in Brazil.
