AMECAFE MANTIQUEIRA

Amecafé Mantiqueira, founded in 2017, is currently made up of more than 60 women and is a reference in specialty coffees, forming part of the Mantiqueira de Minas region, which today comprises 25 municipalities.

Amecafé Mantiqueira was created with the aim of uniting the women of coffee growing in the Mantiqueira region of Minas Gerais, so that they could add more knowledge, play a greater role in the market and show the strength of female unity. Several projects have been devised, with the support of various organizations, courses have been held and continue to be planned so that women producers and their families can learn more about the product they work with, lectures have been held to encourage women producers to adapt to the rural environment and many families have been improved as a result.
