INDUSTRIA E COMERCIO DE BEBIDAS CIO DA TERRA – CACHAÇA MATRIARCA

Matriarca is a cachaça that has been produced by hand for over three decades at Cio da Terra Farm. Located between the municipalities of Caravelas, Lajedão and Medeiros Neto, very close to the border with northeastern Minas Gerais.

This region is traditionally known for its rich massapê soil, but in recent years it has become known for its distinctive sugar cane production.

The history of Matriarca is intertwined with the entrepreneurship of its creator, Adalberto Alves Pinto. As well as farming, he decided to experiment in other ways with the sugar cane on his farm and installed a small still, powered by animals, to produce artisanal cachaça.
