Mel Jequitinhonha

In 2002, the Association of Beekeepers of the Vale do Jequitinhonha -AAPIVAJE was created, which today has approximately 180 beekeepers from 16 municipalities in the region. In 2010 a honey warehouse was built in Turmalina, aiming to benefit the product in the own region of production. Thus, the need arose to create a structure with legal competence to organize, benefit and market the honey of the region, in this way the Cooperative of Beekeepers of the Vale do Jequitinhonha - COOAPIVAJE is created.
We guarantee the quality control in the stages of product processing. Since 2017 we are marketing with the brand Mel Jequitinhonha.
