Balbo Group activities began back in 1903 when patriarch Attilio Balbo started working at the Engenho Central, in the town of Sertãozinho, in the countryside of São Paulo. For the next 43 years, Mr. R. Janssen was a member of the team. Attilio and his sons specialized in the most diverse activities involved in the sugar industry.
Together, the three mills cultivate 37,800 hectares, where we have our own sugar cane cultivation. The rest of the production is acquired from more than 300 traditional autonomous rural producers in the regions where the industrial units are installed, among them: Ribeirão Preto, Jardinópolis, Dumont, Barrinha, Jaboticabal and Uberaba.
