Premissa cachaça combines innovation, research and tradition. It was conceived by Edilson Jardim Viana, a partner and owner who is passionate about cachaça. Edilson comes from a cachaça-producing family and has dedicated his studies to learning the art of producing cachaça. Today, he is a professor at the Federal Institute of Northern Minas Gerais (IFNMG) - Salinas Campus, where he teaches subjects on the Technology in Cachaça Production course, the only higher education course in the country related to the drink.

In 2009, he started his own business in order to apply the knowledge he had acquired there. Seven years after the initial kick-off, Premissa hit the market with know-how that was truly specialized and traditional. Today, it is already recognized by many as one of the best cachaças in Salinas and has established itself as a brand of high quality standards everywhere it goes.
