ORGANIC TOMATO SAUCES
ÓRIGO products are organic tomato sauces containing only salt, olive oil, garlic, basil (in the basil version) and eggplant (in the eggplant version) without any chemical additives or sugar. In the Homemade, Basil and Eggplant versions, the tomato sauce is whole, i.e. the tomatoes are used in their entirety in the sauce, avoiding waste and containing more fiber and nutrients. In the Passata and Premium versions, the tomato sauce is pulped, peeled and seeded, with the PREMIUM version containing salt, garlic and olive oil, and the PASSATA version just a little salt.
ÓRIGO's products are organic tomato sauces, grown, harvested and processed in the state of São Paulo, in processing plants dedicated to plant-based products. The tomatoes are harvested and sorted by hand, and only the fruits at their peak ripeness and optimum concentration of natural sugars and acids are used. Fast transportation and processing prevents the fruit from being crushed and fermenting. The tomatoes are organic and come from small producers (fair trade). ÓRIGO sauces contain only salt, olive oil, garlic, basil (basil version) and eggplant (eggplant version) with no chemical additives or sugar.
DETAILS ON PRODUCTION CAPACITY, SEASONALITY AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS:
Production capacity depends on the number of approved tomato producers, and today we have 2 approved producers, with a total production capacity of 200 tons of tomatoes, or approximately 300,000 glasses of sauce (330 gram glasses). They grow the tomatoes in open fields and the harvest takes place between July, August and September.
