COOPERCUC Founded in 2004, the 270 cooperative members are mostly made up of women who produce delectable desserts and jams made from fruits that are native to the Sertão.

These products are sold by the cooperative in higher-end markets in Brazil and are exported to France and Germany.

GRAVETERO holds a certification for organic products in Brazil through accreditation granted by ECOCERT BRASIL.

Coopercuc functions as the key market strategist focused on adding value to Caatinga products, particularly through promoting the Caatinga umbu and passion fruit. There are a number of products in their product line that support this philosophy.

Coopercuc also integrates the down-home character of the "Sertaneja" into its products, bearing elements in its packaging that emphasize the importance of Caatinga for the semi-arid region of Bahia.
