In the 70s, encouraged by the parish priest of the city, several rural communities are formed aiming at alternative agriculture. In the 80s, the Association of small producers of the Caetes neighborhood was formed, which in 1998 was renamed ACRONOR (Association of Organic Farmers of Nova Resende and Region) starting the organic certification.
In 2001, due to the difficulty of marketing via the association, Coopervitae was born. In 2006, Fair trade certificate.
Currently composed of 160 cooperates, we have several projects Implemented such as women project, quality contest and sustainable energy. At the moment, we are preparing for inauguration of our new headquarters where it will be a rural shopping mall.
