The agronomist Marcelo Abrantes began developing the cocoa distillate in 2015 shortly after a large loss of the cocoa plantation because of the witch broom. It completed the studies of the product in 2018 when it was launched at the Bahia Chocolate Festival.
At the end of 2018, together with his partner Jose Eduardo Amorim, they founded the Mais do Cacau to market innovative products, all derivatives from cocoa. We are focused on the maximum use of cocoa fruit.
