LATICINIO FAZENDA GENEROSA

The Carvalho family's tradition of producing cheeses began with the great-grandfather of the current owner, Quincas Tibúrcio, in 1945, a pioneer in the production of artisan cheeses in the region. In mid-1985, founded by José Luiz Leite Carvalho, the dairy farm Fazenda Generosa was born, selling cheeses and dairy products only to the city of Andrelândia, in southern Minas Gerais.
In 2019, his son Joaquim Luiz de Carvalho, takes over the dairy enterprise, with the purpose of legalizing the products and competing in national and international competitions, giving the brand visibility throughout Brazil. In less than two years, it has already won more than 12 awards in the world's most important competitions, among them the CNA Brazil award and the World Cheese Award, in the UK in 2022.
