From the first years of Foundation, Cristina the "Empress" city, has always been focused on the cultivation of coffee, due to the fertile lands, climate and altitude. Located in the Serra da Mantiqueira, about 30 years ago, the first producers of specialty coffees appeared in the city, which pioneered this new technique in the south of Minas Gerais. With the advances in the production of special coffee, its valorization, the incentive to family farming, the city has been increasingly standing out and nowadays is sought for its variety, volume of production and especially for the high score of its coffees.
The fruits harvested by producers from Cristina are distributed to several countries and in the best coffee shops in the world. We emphasize the specialty of Coffee produced in Cristina, being unique in the market, for the care that producers dedicate to its production.
